Aham Sharma is an Indian actor born on 22 July 1989 in Salimpur, Bihar, best known for one of the most memorable roles in modern mythological television. He began acting on Hindi TV in 2008 and worked his way up to a defining part five years later.
That part was Karna in Star Plus’s grand 2013 retelling of Mahabharat, the tragic warrior born to a charioteer whose loyalty and sense of honour made him the epic’s most sympathetic figure. Sharma’s performance won him a best-supporting-actor award. He went on to lead Brahmarakshas and Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha, and his film 1962: My Country Land screened at Cannes.
Dignified and well suited to period roles, he has carved a niche in India’s mythological and fantasy dramas.
