Akshay Mhatre is an Indian actor born on 11 January 1992 in Navi Mumbai, who crossed over from Marathi television and film into Hindi serials. He began on ETV Marathi’s Savar Re in 2013 and made his Marathi film debut in Youth before moving to Hindi TV.
His Hindi breakthrough was the lead role of Naren Vyas in Zee TV’s Piyaa Albela from 2017 to 2018, opposite Sheen Dass. He later starred in Ghar Ek Mandir - Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki, where he met his future wife.
Earnest and easy in leading-man roles, he has built a steady bilingual career across two industries. He married his co-star, actress Shrenu Parikh, in December 2023 in Vadodara.
