Anita Hassanandani

Anita Hassanandani has been on Indian screens for nearly thirty years, which is a career length film actors rarely manage and television actors rarely get credit for. Born Natasha Hassanandani in Bombay in 1981 into a Sindhi family, she started in the series Idhar Udhar in 1998 and made her film debut in Telugu with Nuvvu Nenu in 2001, a commercial hit.

Television is where she became a household name. Anjali in Kkavyanjali, Sanchi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Shagun Arora in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, and Vishakha in Naagin 3. That is four shows that each reached tens of millions of homes, and Shagun in particular is one of the more memorable antagonists Indian television has produced.

She has worked in Hindi and Telugu films alongside all of it, which is the part people forget.
