Anjali Patil is an Indian actress born on 26 September 1987, an internationally recognised performer of independent cinema who works across Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu films. A National School of Drama graduate, she won the Silver Peacock for Best Actress at the International Film Festival of India for the Sri Lankan film With You Without You.
She drew notice in Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh and gave a memorable turn in the acclaimed satire Newton (2017). She also appeared opposite Rajinikanth in the Tamil blockbuster Kaala. Her choices consistently favour socially engaged, challenging material.
Fiercely independent, she is one of the most respected art-house actresses of her generation.
