Anjana Sukhani has a master’s degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University, which she set aside to act, and that decision has always seemed like the interesting part of her story. Born in Jaipur in 1978 into a Sindhi family, she came up through advertising, including a Cadbury Dairy Milk commercial opposite Amitabh Bachchan, which is a fairly spectacular room to learn in.
Salaam-e-Ishq in 2007 put her in a blockbuster multi-starrer. Golmaal Returns the following year is the one people quote, playing Daisy Paschisia in a sequel to one of the loudest comedy franchises Hindi cinema runs.
She has worked in Telugu and Kannada cinema too, which the Hindi framing tends to leave out.
