Anupama Kuwar (also styled Anupamaa Kuwarr)

Anupama Kuwar is a Mumbai-based television actress whose career runs the familiar Hindi small-screen circuit: long-running procedurals, horror anthologies and the odd fantasy epic. She built early credibility on shows like Qubool Hai, C.I.D. and Aahat before stepping away from TV for the best part of a decade.

Her comeback arrived via Baalveer 3, where she played the warrior Tetra from Himbaash Lok, a role that came with an elaborate costume, a neckpiece she has cheerfully complained about, and knotted ‘jata’ hairstyling that reportedly triggered her migraines. She has said getting into the look took roughly ninety minutes each shoot day, stunts included.

Beyond television, she has worked in web series such as Virgin Boys and Zindagi Tumse, and has film credits including Ohh Teri, Mumbai Mirror and Jaggu Dada. Prior to acting, she worked in the corporate world while modelling on the side, before drifting into acting almost by accident. She maintains an active social media presence, styling herself online as Anupamaa Kuwarr.
