Arjun Rampal is an Indian actor and former supermodel born on 26 November 1972, who parlayed a successful modelling career into a long run in Hindi films. After a slow start in the early 2000s, he found his footing with strong supporting roles.
He won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the music drama Rock On!! (2008), and made a memorable villain opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the smash hit Om Shanti Om (2007). He drew further praise as a brooding politician in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti (2010) and played gangster Arun Gawli in the biopic Daddy (2017).
Tall, brooding and image-conscious, he has favoured roles that trade on gravitas over conventional charm.
