Asha Negi is an Indian actress born on 23 August 1989 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, who came to television via a beauty-pageant win, taking the Miss Uttarakhand title in 2009 before moving into modelling and acting.
Her breakthrough was Purvi in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, which she played from 2011 to 2014 and which made her a familiar face. She later drew praise for the web series Baarish opposite Sharman Joshi, and made her film debut in Anurag Basu’s Ludo. She and Pavitra Rishta co-star Rithvik Dhanjani also won Nach Baliye 6.
Understated and increasingly drawn to web and film work, she has steadily broadened her range beyond the daily soap. She keeps her personal life quiet.
