Ashish Vidyarthi is an Indian actor born on 19 June 1965, one of the most prolific character performers in Indian cinema, with more than 300 films across some 11 languages. A National School of Drama graduate, he won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Govind Nihalani’s Drohkaal (1994).
Best known for his commanding antagonists and authority figures, he has appeared in Hindi films like Ghatak and Sarfarosh, alongside extensive work in Telugu, Tamil, Bengali and other film industries. In recent years he has also built a following as a motivational speaker and content creator.
He married Rupali Barua in 2023.
