Asit Kumarr Modi is an Indian television producer, director, and actor who founded Neela Film Productions in 1995. He built his reputation as the creator and longtime producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a Hindi sitcom that has become India’s longest-running television series since its debut in 2008, adapted from a Gujarati magazine column.
Before his breakthrough with TMKOC, Modi worked in Gujarati theater in various capacities and produced early television shows across multiple genres. Beyond his flagship sitcom, he has produced award-winning serials including Krishnaben Khakhrawala, Saarrthi, SAB Khelo SAB Jeeto!, and Wah! Wah! Kya Baat Hai!, demonstrating range across comedy, drama, and game-show formats.
