Avinash Tiwary

Avinash Tiwary is an Indian actor born on 15 August 1985, who built a devoted following the slow way, through a cult film that grew in stature over time. He won hearts as the obsessive lover Qais in the romance Laila Majnu (2018), a film that flopped on release but became a streaming favourite.

He has since delivered strong work across formats, including the crime series Bambai Meri Jaan and Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, and showed off comic timing in the ensemble hit Madgaon Express (2024). His choices lean toward intense, character-first roles.

Patient and versatile, he is increasingly regarded as one of his generation’s more interesting leading men.
