Ayesha Singh is an Indian television actress born on 19 June 1996 in Mumbai, with an unusual back-story for a soap star: she is a qualified lawyer who assisted on murder cases before quitting law for the screen. She trained at Anupam Kher’s acting school and debuted in 2015.
Her breakthrough was the strong-willed doctor Sai in StarPlus’s hit Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, a role she played from 2020 and one that made her one of television’s most popular leads. She later took the title part in Colors’ Mannat – Har Khushi Paane Ki.
Sharp and famously outspoken about her characters, she brought a lawyer’s steel to a genre that suits it well. She keeps her private life low-key.
