Brijendra Kala is an Indian actor and writer, born in 1969 in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, and raised in Mathura, where he spent nearly two decades in theatre before films. That long apprenticeship shows in the lived-in ease of his small, scene-defining roles.
He made his film debut in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Haasil (2003) and has since appeared in more than fifty films, often as ordinary men who steal a scene and vanish: the philosophical cabbie in Jab We Met, a local reporter in Paan Singh Tomar, the idol seller in PK. His nuanced sexologist in OMG 2 (2023) won fresh praise.
A quiet master of the bit part, he is one of Hindi cinema’s most reliable character actors.
