Deepika Amin

Deepika Amin, born Deepika Deshpande in 1967, is an Indian actress with three decades of work across film, television, and theatre. She comes from a culturally prominent Maharashtrian family; her grandfather was a Sahitya Akademi Award-winning poet and her father served as an Air Vice Marshal in the Indian Air Force.

She gained her first major break with the 1994 television serial Farmaan, where she played the lead opposite Kanwaljit. Since then, she has appeared in supporting roles across notable Bollywood films including Fan, Raanjhanaa, and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, as well as acclaimed television series such as Farmaan, Tashn-e-Ishq, and Siyaasat on Epic.

Beyond her film and television work, Amin is an accomplished theatre artist who has performed in plays directed by renowned figures like Barry John and Lillete Dubey. She is trained in Indian classical music and plays guitar. She continues to work regularly in the Indian entertainment industry, appearing in recent web series and maintaining an active presence across mediums.
