Deepika Singh is an Indian television actress born on 26 July 1989 in New Delhi, best known for anchoring one of Hindi television’s biggest hits of the 2010s. An MBA graduate, she made her acting debut with the very show that made her famous.
That show was Diya Aur Baati Hum, where she played the determined IPS aspirant Sandhya opposite Anas Rashid for nearly 1,500 episodes across five years, winning the ITA Award for Best Actress. The serial was the number-one show in the country at its peak.
Warm and hugely popular with family audiences, she built her career almost entirely on that landmark role. She married the show’s director, Rohit Raj Goyal, in 2014, and the couple has a son.
