Deepshikha Nagpal is an Indian actress and filmmaker born on 27 January 1977 in Mumbai, into a film family: her father was an actor, her mother a producer-actress, and her grandfather a director. She built a career across 1990s Hindi cinema and, later, television.
She drew notice in films like Koyla, Baadshah and Dillagi, then moved into TV soaps and reality shows, appearing on Bigg Boss 8. In 2011 she directed and headlined Yeh Dooriyan, handling nine departments on the film herself, which earned her a place in the Limca Book of Records.
Versatile and quietly pioneering behind the camera, she has kept a long and varied career across film and television. She has two children.
