Dev Joshi

Dev Joshi is an Indian television actor born on 28 November 2000 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, who grew up on stage and in regional Gujarati productions before Hindi television made him a children’s superhero. He debuted around 2009 as a young character on NDTV Imagine.

His signature role, from 2012 onward, is the title character in the fantasy franchise Baalveer, so identified with the part that fans simply call him Baalveer. He has also played the teenage revolutionary in the biographical drama Chandrashekhar and acted in more than twenty Gujarati films.

Recognised early with the national Bal Shakti Puraskar for his work in the arts, he has grown up in the public eye with rare steadiness. He married Aarti Kharel in early 2025.
