Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian singer, actor and producer born on 6 January 1984 in Dosanjh Kalan, Punjab, and one of the biggest global ambassadors of Punjabi culture. He built a massive music career through albums like Chocolate and The Next Level before conquering Punjabi cinema with blockbusters such as the Jatt & Juliet series and Honsla Rakh.
He crossed into Bollywood with the acclaimed Udta Punjab (2016) and delivered a career-defining performance as slain singer Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali’s 2024 Netflix film. By then a bona fide international star, he has headlined sold-out world tours and became the first Punjabi artist to perform at Coachella.
