Divyenndu, who long worked under the name Divyendu Sharma, is an Indian actor born on 19 June 1983 and a graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India. He broke out with the cult campus comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), winning a Best Male Debut award for his sharp comic timing.
His career reached a new level with the streaming juggernaut Mirzapur, where his portrayal of the volatile, insecure gangster Munna Tripathi became one of Indian web series’ most talked-about performances. He has also delivered solid supporting turns in mainstream films like Toilet Ek Prem Katha and Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
Equally at home in broad comedy and simmering menace, he is one of his generation’s more versatile character leads.
