Gagan Dev Riar

Gagan Dev Riar is an Indian actor who spent well over a decade as a respected figure in Indian theatre before a breakout screen role made him nationally known. On stage he was part of acclaimed productions like Atul Kumar’s Piya Behrupiya, winning a META Award for Best Supporting Actor, and appeared in Mira Nair’s off-Broadway musical staging of Monsoon Wedding.

His defining screen moment came with the title role in Hansal Mehta’s series Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, where his transformation into the stamp-paper scamster Abdul Karim Telgi drew widespread praise.
