Huma Qureshi is an Indian actress born on 28 July 1986, a Delhi University graduate and theatre performer who became a distinctive presence in Hindi film and streaming. Anurag Kashyap signed her for a three-film deal, launching her with the sprawling crime saga Gangs of Wasseypur (2012).

She built a varied career across films like Dedh Ishqiya and Ek Thi Daayan, the Hollywood-Indian series and the biographical Tarla, playing the celebrated chef Tarla Dalal. She reached a wide audience as the steely politician Rani Bharti in the hit series Maharani, winning a Filmfare OTT Award.

Confident and versatile, she has favoured strong, substantial female roles throughout her career.
