Jay Bhanushali is an Indian television actor and host born on 25 December 1984 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, into a middle-class Gujarati family. He started with supporting roles before Ekta Kapoor gave him his big break.
That break was the lead, Neev, in her soap Kayamath, but it was hosting that made him a fixture of Hindi TV: he fronted multiple seasons of Dance India Dance and other music shows, praised for his easy stage presence, and won Nach Baliye 5. He has also appeared in films and on Bigg Boss.
As comfortable anchoring a live show as leading a serial, he built one of television’s more versatile careers. He married actress Mahhi Vij in 2011, and the couple has a daughter.
