Jim Sarbh is an Indian actor born on 27 August 1987, who came up through English-language theatre before becoming one of Hindi cinema’s most distinctive modern performers. He made a startling film debut as the hijacker in the acclaimed biopic Neerja (2016).
A specialist in intelligent, slightly unsettling characters, he impressed as antagonists in Padmaavat and Sanju, and drew his greatest praise as physicist Homi Bhabha in the series Rocket Boys, which earned him an International Emmy nomination. He is also a fixture of the sharp ensemble comedy Made in Heaven.
Theatrical and precise, he tends to play men who are clever, charming and a little dangerous.
