Juhi Chawla is an Indian actress and producer born on 13 November 1967, one of the biggest female stars of Hindi cinema’s late-1980s and 1990s. A former Miss India, she shot to fame opposite Aamir Khan in the blockbuster romance Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), winning a Filmfare Best Female Debut award.
Famous for her sunny smile and comic timing, she headlined hits like Darr, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Ishq and Yes Boss. She later co-founded the production house Dreamz Unlimited with Shah Rukh Khan and Aziz Mirza, and remains active in selective character roles.
She married industrialist Jay Mehta in 1995, and the couple has two children.
