Kabir Bedi

Kabir Bedi is an internationally acclaimed Indian actor born on 16 January 1946 in Lahore. He emerged from Indian theatre before transitioning to Hindi films and becoming one of the first Indian actors to achieve global stardom across Bollywood, Hollywood, and European cinema.

He gained particular prominence through the Italian television series Sandokan, which made him a major star across Europe, and his role as the villain Gobinda in the James Bond film Octopussy. He has appeared in over 60 films across multiple languages and starred in acclaimed television productions including The Bold and the Beautiful, where he performed for over a year.

Based primarily in Mumbai, Bedi has maintained an active career spanning five decades in film, television, theatre, and radio. He was knighted by the Italian Republic and has been a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 1982. He is fluent in multiple languages and remains one of the most recognizable Indian actors to achieve sustained international success.
