Kamya Panjabi

Kamya Panjabi is an Indian television actress born on 13 August 1979, one of the small screen’s most reliable villains, so associated with negative roles that audiences loved to hate her. She built her name on serials like Reth and Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani.

Her longest-running part was the scheming Preeto in Colors’ Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which she played from 2016 to 2021. A blunt, popular reality-show presence, she was a finalist on Bigg Boss 7. In 2021 she also joined the Congress party.

Fierce on screen and outspoken off it, she made an entire career out of characters with an edge. She married Delhi-based doctor Shalabh Dang in 2020.
