Kashmera Shah

Kashmera Shah is an Indian-American actress and former model who transitioned from beauty pageant titles (Miss University World, Miss India talent) to a career spanning Hindi and Marathi cinema. Born in 1972 in Bombay to an artistic family, her grandmother Anjanibai Lolekar was a renowned Hindustani classical singer, she carved a niche in 1990s Bollywood with supporting roles that earned her critical attention.

Her breakthrough came through high-profile films like Yes Boss and Jungle, the latter securing her a Best Supporting Actress nomination. She proved equally memorable in item numbers across Vaastav and Aankhen, cementing her status as a reliable character player. The mid-2000s saw her pivot toward television and reality entertainment, appearing on Bigg Boss 1, Nach Baliye 3, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 4.

She holds dual Indian-American citizenship and maintains bases in Mumbai and Los Angeles. Shah’s personal life has been marked by two marriages and the birth of twin sons in 2017 via surrogacy, keeping her in the spotlight as an established presence in Indian entertainment circles.
