Kim Sharma

Kim Sharma is an Indian actress and model who emerged in Bollywood at the turn of the millennium. Born on 21 January 1980 in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, she grew up in a multicultural household and trained as a model before transitioning to acting. She appeared in advertisements for major brands including Pepsi, Fair & Lovely, and Close-Up before her film debut.

Her breakout role came with Mohabbatein (2000), directed by Aditya Chopra, which earned her the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year, Female. She went on to star in films like Yeh Hai Jalwa (2001) alongside Salman Khan and continued working across Hindi and Telugu cinema throughout the 2000s. Her film career saw moderate success before she stepped back from the industry.

In 2010, Sharma married Indian businessman Ali Punjani and relocated to Kenya, effectively retiring from acting. The couple divorced in 2016. She later dated tennis player Leander Paes, confirming the relationship in 2021, though they parted ways by 2023.
