Lara Dutta is an Indian actress and producer born on 16 April 1978, who came to fame as the winner of the Miss Universe 2000 pageant before building a successful Bollywood career. She made an award-winning film debut with Andaaz (2003).
She became a reliable leading lady in commercial hits like No Entry, Masti, Partner and Housefull, and impressed critics with a scene-stealing turn as Indira Gandhi in the thriller Bell Bottom (2021). She has also moved into production and streaming work.
Graceful and quick-witted, she has aged into strong character roles after a long run as a star.
She married former tennis champion Mahesh Bhupathi in 2011, and the couple has a daughter.
