MC Square

Abhishek Bainsla adopted the stage name MC Square, cleverly derived from Einstein’s E=mc². Born in Haryana in 1999, he began rapping in 2016 and built a reputation for fusing Haryanvi folk traditions with contemporary hip-hop sensibilities.

His 2022 victory on MTV Hustle’s second season catapulted him into the mainstream, where Bollywood producers quickly enlisted him for film soundtracks. He appeared on Vikram Montrose’s “Sher” from Selfiee and collaborated with Amrit Maan on “Double Black,” establishing himself as a bridge between indie hip-hop and commercial cinema.

MC Square distinguishes himself through lyrics in regional dialects, treating preservation of Haryana’s cultural heritage as part of his artistic mission. His work in the Sony LIV series Chamak demonstrated versatility beyond pure rap, cementing his position in India’s expanding music-led entertainment landscape.
