Medha Shankr is an Indian actress born on 1 August 1998, a trained Hindustani classical singer and fashion-management graduate who broke through with one of the most acclaimed films of recent years. She began with a role in the British miniseries Beecham House.

Her breakthrough came as Shraddha Joshi, the quietly determined love interest, in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s hit 12th Fail (2023) opposite Vikrant Massey, a performance that won her the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. She has since built on that promise with further film work.

Fresh and sincere, she is one of the brightest new talents of contemporary Hindi cinema.
