Mini Mathur

Mini Mathur is India’s leading television presenter, best known for hosting the reality singing competition Indian Idol for six consecutive seasons. She established herself as a VJ on MTV India before transitioning to mainstream television hosting, becoming one of the country’s most recognizable faces in reality TV and entertainment programming.

Her career expanded into acting with roles in television series and films. She earned critical acclaim for her performance as Shefali Malhotra in Amazon’s original series Mind the Malhotras, winning seven best actor awards for the role. Beyond scripted entertainment, she created and produced Minime, a travel series that premiered on TLC, showcasing her versatility as a content creator.

Educated in English literature and marketing, she brings a polished, articulate presence to her work. Married to filmmaker Kabir Khan since 1998, she has two children and continues hosting major television properties including Discovery School Super League on Discovery India, maintaining her position as one of Indian television’s most enduring and respected personalities.
