Mukesh Chhabra is an Indian casting director, filmmaker and actor born in Delhi on 27 May 1984. After training at the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts and spending nine years with Theatre in Education Company affiliated with the National School of Drama, he began his film career in 2006 as an assistant casting director.
Chhabra founded Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company (MCCC) in 2008, which has become one of India’s leading casting companies. He is credited with discovering and nurturing talent like Rajkummar Rao, Sushant Singh Rajput, Mrunal Thakur, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, and has cast over 300 films and 100 web series.
Chhabra is regarded as a key figure in professionalizing casting in Hindi cinema, emphasizing performance training and character alignment. He has worked on blockbusters including Dangal, Jawan, Dunki and Scam 1992, collaborating with major directors and producers across the industry.
