He established himself as a go-to villain with an intense, acclaimed turn as the ruthless Bachcha Yadav in Prakash Jha’s Gangaajal (2003). He has since balanced menace with comedy, most enduringly as the extortionist Vasooli Bhai in the hit Golmaal franchise, alongside films like The Legend of Bhagat Singh.
