Munmun Dutta

Munmun Dutta is an Indian actress born in Durgapur, West Bengal, who holds a Master’s degree in English and began her career as a child singer for Akashvani and Doordarshan in Kolkata. Her television debut came in 2004 with Zee TV’s Hum Sab Baraati, and she made her film debut in 2005 with Mumbai Xpress alongside Kamal Haasan.

Dutta is best known for her role as Babita Iyer in the Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which has made her one of India’s most recognizable television personalities. She appeared in the 2006 film Holiday, working alongside international talent, and has established herself as a fashion influencer with a significant social media following.

Beyond acting, Dutta has worked extensively in television commercials and modeling. Her career spans two decades of consistent work in Hindi television and film, earning multiple award nominations and establishing her as a versatile entertainer in the Indian entertainment industry.
