Paresh Rawal is an Indian actor, producer and politician born on 30 May 1955, one of the most versatile performers in Hindi cinema with more than 240 films to his name. He spent years as a formidable villain and character actor, including a National Award-winning turn, before comedy made him a superstar.
His impeccable timing as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in Hera Pheri (2000) became iconic, and he anchored beloved comedies like Hungama and Andaz Apna Apna, as well as the thoughtful satire OMG Oh My God. He also served as a Member of Parliament.
He married former Miss India and actress Swaroop Sampat in 1987, and the couple has two sons.
