Piyush Mishra is an Indian actor, lyricist, singer and playwright born on 13 January 1963 in Gwalior, a genuine multi-hyphenate of the arts. A National School of Drama graduate, he spent years in Delhi theatre before moving to Mumbai in 2002.
He drew acclaim as an actor in Maqbool and Gangs of Wasseypur, but is equally celebrated as a songwriter and performer, penning and singing memorable numbers like “Aarambh Hai Prachand” in Gulaal and “Ik Bagal” in Gangs of Wasseypur.
