Prakriti Kakar

Prakriti Kakar is an Indian playback singer born in New Delhi on May 8, 1995. She began her career in 2012 with the title song of Bollywood film Tutiya Dil, followed by backing vocals for films in 2013. She gained prominence collaborating with musician Ankit Tiwari on tracks including ‘Katra Katra’ from Alone and ‘Bheegh Loon’ from Khamoshiyan.

She is one half of India’s only singing twins, performing alongside her twin sister Sukriti Kakar. Together they have released independent music videos and collaborative tracks. She comes from a musically inclined family and trained in classical music for seven years while learning keyboard and western music.

Her biggest commercial success came with the dance track ‘Hawa Hawa’ in Mubarakan with singer Mika, which ranked as the number-one most-googled song in India in 2017. She has appeared in multiple Bollywood films as a music artist and continues her music career actively.
