Pratibha Ranta

Pratibha Ranta emerged from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, where she trained as a theatre artist and dancer before pursuing formal studies in filmmaking at Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management in Mumbai. She made her professional acting debut in 2020 with the television series Qurbaan Hua, where her portrayal of Chahat gained attention and established her on the small screen.

Her breakthrough came with the 2024 film Laapataa Ladies, where she played Jaya and earned critical acclaim including the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. The performance marked her transition to meaningful film roles and demonstrated her range as an actor. She has also appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, expanding her work across platforms.
