Rajat Barmecha

Rajat Barmecha is an Indian actor born on 24 April 1989, who made one of the most memorable debuts of his generation. He played the rebellious teenager Rohan in Vikramaditya Motwane’s acclaimed coming-of-age drama Udaan (2010), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

That performance remains his calling card, and he has since appeared in films like Shaitan and the sports comedy Kacchey Limbu, as well as web content. His work leans toward sensitive, introspective young-man roles.

Closely identified with one modern classic, he continues to pick selective, character-driven projects.
