Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna built her stardom in the south, in Kannada and then Telugu cinema, long before Hindi audiences caught up, which is why the “national crush” branding that followed always slightly undersold the actual career underneath it. She was a genuine box-office force in the Telugu industry first.

The Pushpa films opposite Allu Arjun made her a pan-Indian name, and then Animal and Chhaava planted her firmly in the biggest Hindi releases going. Working across four film industries at once is a logistical feat as much as an acting one, and she has managed it while becoming one of the country’s most-followed stars online.

Married to the actor Vijay Deverakonda, she is a paparazzi fixture whenever she lands in Mumbai for a shoot or a promotion. The cameras rarely miss her arrival.
