Rhea Kapoor

Rhea Kapoor has the most famous surname in the room and has spent her career pointedly not acting. Born in 1987 to Anil Kapoor and his wife Sunita, and sister to Sonam and Harshvardhan, she went into producing instead, which in this industry is the harder and less flattered job.

She started at 23 with Aisha in 2010, directed by Rajshree Ojha and starring her sister Sonam opposite Abhay Deol. Veere Di Wedding followed in 2018, co-produced and unapologetically about four women behaving badly, which the industry had spent years insisting nobody wanted to watch.

She works as a celebrity stylist too, and with Sonam she owns the fashion line Rheson. That combination, producer and stylist, is why she reads the room differently to most people on a carpet: she has usually decided how it looks.
