Rohit Purohit is an Indian actor born in Jaipur, Rajasthan into a Marwari family. He started out as a model before transitioning into Hindi television, making his acting debut with Shaurya Aur Suhani in the role of Chitwan.
His breakout roles came with historically-themed shows: he played Malik Altunia in Razia Sultan and Alexander in Porus. He’s since become a fixture on Indian television, taking on lead roles in popular dramas including Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii, and the long-running Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Purohit married Sheena Bajaj on January 22, 2019 in Jaipur. The couple welcomed their first child, son Aarush, in September 2025.
