Rohit Saraf began his journey from Kathmandu in 1996, growing up between Nepal and Delhi before his solo move to Mumbai at 15 to pursue acting, fulfilling his late father’s ambition. He transitioned from television work to cinema, making his film debut in Dear Zindagi (2016).
His breakthrough arrived through a string of well-received films: the uplifting Hichki (2018), the emotionally ambitious The Sky Is Pink (2019), and the darkly comedic Ludo (2020). He also ventured internationally with the Norwegian film What Will People Say (2017), which received an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.
Between cinema, Saraf found particular recognition in Netflix’s Mismatched (2020–2024), where he played Rishi across four seasons. By 2025, Forbes Asia recognized him among their 30 Under 30, cementing his status as one of Hindi cinema’s reliable young performers.
