Sahher Bambba got the kind of launch most newcomers dream about and then had to live through the hard part. Born and raised in Shimla, she won the Oppo Bombay Times Fresh Face contest in 2016 and made her film debut in Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas in 2019, opposite Karan Deol under Sunny Deol’s direction. The film did not work, and she has been candid since about how much that stung.
What followed was the slower rebuild that separates a one-film face from an actor. She played Maham Begum in the historical series The Empire, took a role opposite Meezaan Jafri in The Miranda Brothers, and then landed a lead in The Bads of Bollywood alongside Aryan Khan, the sort of project that resets the conversation around a name.
She has talked openly about the rejections in between, which is more honest than most.
