Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an Indian actress and model who has established herself as one of the highest-paid stars in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She was born on April 28, 1987, in Chennai to Telugu and Malayali parents, and began her career with modeling before making her acting debut in 2010 with Ye Maaya Chesave. She has since appeared in over 40 films and won numerous awards including four Filmfare Awards South and six South Indian International Movie Awards.

She gained significant critical acclaim for her performances in Eega, Mahanati, Rangasthalam, and 24, establishing herself as a leading performer in South Indian cinema. In 2021, she transitioned to pan-Indian content, earning widespread praise for her role as Raji in the second season of Amazon’s The Family Man series and for her special appearance in the Pushpa franchise.

Recently, Samantha has expanded her profile to Bollywood projects and hosted the talk show Sam Jam. She is also founder of Pratyusha Support and Saaki World. Currently expecting her first child with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, whom she married in December 2025, she recently confirmed she will take a maternity break after completing her current commitments.
