Sanjay Kapoor, born in Bombay on 17 October 1965, is a well-known Indian film and television actor who works primarily in Hindi cinema. The youngest of four children of producer Surinder Kapoor, he comes from a prominent entertainment family. He is the brother of acclaimed producer Boney Kapoor and veteran actor Anil Kapoor.
Kapoor made his acting debut in 1995 with the films Prem and Raja, the latter launching his film career. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, he became a familiar presence in mainstream Bollywood, gaining recognition for romantic and family-oriented roles in films such as Sirf Tum (1999) and Auzaar. Despite initial success, he faced a period of decline in his film career.
More recently, Kapoor has successfully reinvented himself through television and digital platforms. He earned critical acclaim for his work in web series including The Gone Game and The Fame Game, as well as films like Mission Mangal (2019) and Murder Mubarak (2024). He is married to entrepreneur Maheep Kapoor and founder-director of Sanjay Kapoor Entertainment Private Limited.
