Sanjay Mishra

Sanjay Mishra is an Indian actor born on 6 October 1963, a National School of Drama graduate whose decades-long career blossomed from comic side roles into some of the most acclaimed lead performances in Hindi cinema. Audiences first embraced him for comedy in films like Golmaal and Dhamaal.

The industry then discovered his dramatic depth: he won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for both the philosophical Ankhon Dekhi (2014) and the thriller Vadh (2022), and moved audiences in Masaan. His journey, including a period when he quit acting to run a roadside dhaba, has become an industry legend.

He married Kiran Mishra in 2009, and the couple has two daughters.
