Sara Ali Khan carries two film dynasties at once, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, granddaughter of Sharmila Tagore, and a Columbia history degree that she mentions often enough to have become part of the brand. She debuted in Kedarnath in 2018 and drew notice for a poise that suggested she had grown up around this.
Simmba, released the same week, made her instantly commercial, and Atrangi Re gave her a meatier role opposite heavyweight co-stars. The films have been uneven since, but her public persona, chatty, unfiltered, cheerfully spiritual, has kept her firmly in the spotlight regardless of the box office.
