Shalini Pandey was born in Jabalpur on 23 September 1993. After earning a B.Tech in Computer Science, she pursued theatre arts with a local group and worked as a theatre artist before entering cinema, having overcome her family’s initial resistance to the entertainment industry.
Her screen debut in the Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017) became a watershed moment. Playing a medical student opposite Vijay Deverakonda, she delivered a performance that earned her a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Female Debut. Despite Telugu not being her fluent language, she performed her own dubbing, showcasing her commitment to authenticity.
Since her breakthrough, Pandey has built a diverse filmography spanning Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. Notable appearances include Mahanati, 118, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Maharaj. She has also ventured into film production, establishing herself as a multi-faceted talent in Indian cinema.
